Artificial Intelligence has untapped potential to elevate consumers’ experiences with convenience & personalized service in areas as health, travel and food. Mayor companies now see it’s game-changing potential to improve everyday life. But understand there is still quite some ground to cover in terms of structural investments, rules & regulations and availability of AI talent.
So 5 mayor Dutch companies decided to unite forces and kickstart developments. Ahold Delhaize, ING, KLM, NS and Philips understand it’s not only about technical possibilities. But should include also what is socially desirable.
The initiatives include:
- Superchallenges
Competitions mobilizing global AI talent to address societal challenges in areas like health & mobility - Joint appointments
Invest in private-public collaboration through joint appointments of academic staff, providing access for AI talent to education, training and leading academics - Education
Increase the understanding and adoption of AI among the general public by offering courses
In further collaboration with government, industry peers and other tech providers this will help address societal challenges, provide new opportunities for the youth and accelerate the introduction of AI.
